MY STORY
I love crazy, chaotic, charming Kuala Lumpur, as only one who was born and raised here can. This city is my kampung, and its energy, vibes, and toxic fumes run deep in my veins.
Here I call myself tukang seni, which in Malay shifts me from designer to craftsperson. Detailing is as important as the big picture, and I am happiest when time affords me the luxury to craft my work.
I have had the good fortune to practice my craft in four beautiful cities: London, Bangkok, Singapore, and, in 2016, came full circle back to Kuala Lumpur, where it all began. They haven’t been able to get rid of me since.

My design repertoire includes branding, packaging, corporate and editorial design – but what I love the most is working where my skills intersect with the things I care deeply for, such as art, culture, and community.
I’m really grateful for all the milestones that my design journey has taken me through – from the days of cow gum and bromide paste-ups, through the pre-Google dial-up era – transitioning from analogue to digital, and now, into the realm of AI. I’m excited about the future, and fully signed up for lifelong learning. Jom.
I am a big believer in the blessings that can be found in creative collaboration. A wonderful energy rises when clients (or funders), stakeholders and creatives work together to realise something meaningful. When an ensemble of poets, writers, photographers, illustrators, and musicians make art together, it’s the community that benefits as goals are met. But we are also mutually inspired, and the happiness is multiplied. We learn from each other, and we all come away richer.
