Welcome to the Republic of Bunnyland
Bunny travels the world
A Tiny Art Project in collaboration with my daughter, her toy bunny and likeminded silly people
Tiny Art Projects is a Facebook page I started when my daughter was a preschooler, as a way to document our crafty and arty activities. It is currently unpublished so we can focus on other life stuff :-)
In 2015, inspired by the movie Amelié, I decided to propose an idea to my daughter, then nine: what if we sent her toy bunny on trips around the world? Sasha loved the idea, and so, the first thing we set out to make was of course, a passport. Would she be Malaysian like us? No, of course not, my daughter replied. She’s a citizen of Bunnyland.
The Republic of Bunnyland.
Dear friends, if any of you wish take up the Republic of Bunnyland My Second Home programme, I will be glad to pass you the borang (3B). Kindly prepare a processing fee of forty (40) carrots. There is strictly no under-table business in Bunnyland. We have no tables in Bunnyland. Love is all you need.
Bunny’s inaugural trip: to Amsterdam via Ang Mo Kio post office
With much love and thanks to Ellis Bartholomeus, the most passionate advocate of playfulness I have had the honour to meet.
Cuti-cuti Malaysia with Happy Boy
Apa khabar Kuala Lumpur? The gentle adventures of Bunny continued in my hometown. Doing what KLites do best - lepak! (it means to hang around drinking copious amounts of very sweet tea or coffee while talking in circles for hours about absolutely nothing significant).
With thanks to Happy Boy, Alex Lim and friends for the hospitality, road trips and endless mugs of Milo ais.
Backpacker Bunny
With hugs and kisses to Keaira, Boni and Hans for letting Bunny tag along on your epic family adventure!
Guess where Bunny went next?
With thanks to Gracie and Cham McBride for a wonderful time – kopkhun kha!
